Competitive Fastpitch Softball

Renegades Softball requires a higher level of commitment than Rec softball. It provides a great opportunity for Lake Oswego girls to develop a deeper level of understanding of the game, and the skills required to play the game at a higher level.

Fees for the year typically run between $600 - $1,000 which includes Fall Ball, off season trainings, Spring Season tournaments, uniforms, player development clinics and league fees. League fees cover insurance, field usage, team and indoor facility equipment and other administrative fees. Fundraising opportunities are at the discretion of the team, coach and organization.

Fall Ball Season

Fall ball practices typically begin mid August and run through October. 12u/14u/16u teams typically participate in the fall ball league with local double headers played on Sundays starting late August/early September. All teams play in various local, weekend tournaments. Fall ball is an excellent opportunity to build team cohesiveness, increase game experience and build up skills to prepare for the next spring season. While fall ball is competitive, the emphasis is always on having fun and building a solid team foundation. There are typically two practices per week, scheduled around competing sports such as soccer.

Winter Off Season

Teams practice 1-2 times per week in the off season at the various indoor facilities. The off season typically runs November - February, with time off for the holidays per coaches discretion. The focus is on conditioning, ongoing skill growth and team building. Practices are encouraged and coaches are willing to work around winter sports and other activities.

Spring Season

Spring softball officially begins early March as the weather turns favorable to be back out on the fields. Teams practice at least 2x per week and primarily play weekend tournaments at the discretion of the Head Coach. Tournament schedules/locations vary by team, but may include between 6-12 tournaments between March - early August. Many teams attend State and Nationals Tournament weekends.
